NORTHWEST SOFTWARE RECEIVES MINORITY BUSINESS AWARD
Beaverton, OR, February 16, 2005 -
Sonal Shah, president of Northwest Software, Inc. (NSI), Beaverton, received the prestigious 2005 Summit Award as a Minority (owned) Business Entrepreneur. The Northwest Minority Business Council ceremony was held at The Westin Hotel in Seattle on February 11th. Sonal and her husband, Chetan, are natives of India who became U.S. citizens in the 1990s. They have a son, 12, and daughter, 9.
Sonal Shah’s Award Speech
The Summit Award is for NSI’s effort as a staffing agency in developing new ways to place qualfied people in good jobs, including women and other minorities. In Sonal’s acceptance speech (Click here), she recognized NSI’s "strategic alliance with Nordstrom’s* in creating the Lead Diversity Staffing Model". The model is a new kind of partnership that includes women and minority suppliers. NSI’s innovative software, EZRecruit, simplifies and dramatically speeds the process.
