Sonal Shah, president of Northwest Software, Inc. (NSI), Beaverton, received the prestigious 2006 Summit Award as a Minority (owned) Business Entrepreneur. The Northwest Minority Business Council ceremony was held at The Westin Hotel in Seattle on January 27th.
The Summit Award is for NSI’s effort as a staffing agency in developing new ways to place women and other minorities in good jobs. In Sonal’s acceptance speech, she mentioned: NSI views strategic alliance as a core growth strategy. We must continue to focus on our core EZRecruit technology and staffing services, and align strategically with complementary partners in order to increase total customer value.” NSI’s innovative software, EZRecruit, simplifies and dramatically speeds the process. Sonal also acknowledged Washington Mutual Nordstrom and Starbuck’s for their support, along with other clients.
NSI has been in business for 18 years. In 2002, Sonal was named Oregon’s Small Business Person of the year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
