|Northwest Software exec wins SBA award|
Shah will represent Oregon during National Small Business Week ceremonies and compete for the regional and national Small Business Person of the Year 2002 awards.
Besides building up Beaverton-based Northwest Software, Shah and her husband, Chetan Shah, have been involved in the startup of EZRecruit.com Inc., a company developing products to streamline clients’ recruitment and supply-chain processes. It was one of the top 10 finalists in the Business Journal’s 2002 Business Plan Competition.
EZRecruit.com, incorporated in 2000, has been tested internally at Northwest Software. The founders say they have already invested $2.5 million in the project (mostly from Northwest Software’s coffers) and "30 person-years." Chetan Shah said he is "100 percent focused on EZRecruit" these days and has been in discussions with several major target firms who are interested in the service.
